HPTC Beaver – Multimedia | Beaver High School Junior
Kendall Cline continues to stand out in the High Plains Technology Center Multimedia program through her natural storytelling ability and growing confidence behind—and in front of—the camera. Her work consistently reflects both creativity and technical skill.
In late January, Kendall was named a finalist in the Keep Oklahoma Beautiful – End Litter Video Competition. She has since gone on to earn first place, bringing home a $1,200 award—an accomplishment that highlights both her talent and dedication to excellence.

While Kendall has developed strong skills in photography and videography, her journey at HPTC has also been one of personal growth. One of the most impactful areas for her has been public speaking.
“Before I started, I was so nervous to talk to people,” Kendall shared. “If you had told me I had to do any kind of public speaking, I would have had a nervous breakdown. But through BPA and presenting my work—work I was proud of—I’ve learned to speak up. It still makes me nervous, but I’ve become so much more confident.”
Kendall approaches every project with pride and purpose, a quality her instructor, Mrs. Kristen Martinez, says reflects the high standard of excellence at HPTC. That drive is fueled by her genuine passion for her craft.
“I enjoy what I do, and that makes me want to do well,” Kendall said. “I love when everything comes together and I can feel proud of it. Especially in photography—seeing people excited when they receive photos I took makes all the late nights worth it.”
Her support system has also played a key role in her success. Kendall credits her parents for their constant encouragement and sacrifices, along with Mrs. Martinez, whom she says has taught her everything she knows about photography and videography.
Looking ahead, Kendall plans to pursue a future in photography, videography, or marketing. While she is still exploring her exact path, she feels confident in the foundation she has built.
“HPTC has given me the skills to have plenty of options when I go into the workforce,” she said.
For students considering the Multimedia program, Kendall offers simple but meaningful advice:
“If media or photography is something you want to pursue, HPTC is a great opportunity. You gain skills that will help you in your career, and you meet amazing people and make connections for the future.”
Kendall represents HPTC with professionalism, creativity, and heart.
