Now Hiring - Safety/Energy Instructor (Woodward Campus)

Full-time industry training position to deliver a variety of industry and safety training programs; assist in the development and procurement of training materials and equipment; and assist businesses with training needs assessments.

Maintain appropriate client records, schedules and prepare required reports. Required certifications include OSHA, PEC, ETC, GWO, SafelandUSA, HAZWOPER, H₂S, Forklift, and other applicable industry safety certifications, or the ability to obtain required certifications.

Qualified candidates should have experience in electrical, hydraulics and schematics and possess an industry / business background, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Must possess the ability to effectively engage adult learners, communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing, and demonstrate a strong knowledge of safety procedures and practices.

Available to work designated work schedule, extended hours and weekends as required by position responsibilities and must be able to attend and participate in meetings / conferences as scheduled within and outside the district. 

This position contains rigorous physical requirements such as climbing with equipment to 125 feet and ability to work in confined spaces along with crawling, bending, stooping and moving self in different positions. This position requires travel to various locations for client training.  Must be able to accomplish training tasks in various environments including at heights and in confined spaces. This is a safety sensitive position.

High Plains Technology Center is looking for part-time adjunct instructors to teach short term adult education classes in the following areas:  Trades, Special Interest, Health, Computer, and Business. If you are interested in becoming a substitute instructor for our daytime career programs, please call Jennifer Dew at (580) 571-6129. No certification is required. Pay is on a daily rate.
