PROFESSIONAL CERTIFIED –TECHNICAL APPLICATIONS INSTRUCTOR (TAP) -WOODWARD LOCATION

Position available for an Instructor for the High Plains Technology (HPTC), Technical Applications Program (TAP) for the FY27 school year. The instructor will develop, plan, and coordinate curriculum aligned with HPTC core programs and business and industry needs, while delivering daily, hands-on STEM instruction connected to career and technical education opportunities. Experience teaching STEM curriculum, familiarity with the CareerTech system, and a Math certification are preferred.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Must hold a valid teaching certificate from the Oklahoma State Department of Education and have, or be willing to obtain, appropriate CareerTech certifications.

Must be available to work the designated schedule, including extended hours as required by position responsibilities, and attend meetings and conferences as scheduled. This position is classified as safety-sensitive.

Position Available: TANF Training Navigator

High Plains Technology Center is seeking applications for a full-time TANF Training Navigator serving the district. This is a 12-month, grant-funded position based at the Woodward and/or Beaver campuses.

The TANF Training Navigator will implement and manage a competency-based training program for TANF and other eligible participants. Responsibilities include coordinating services with community and state agencies, developing career pathways aligned to workforce needs, providing guidance and job readiness support, assisting with job placement, and maintaining program records and reports.

Educational requirements: A minimum of 30 college credit hours is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with special populations and/or in an educational or training setting. Instructional experience in basic skills, GED, or workforce readiness is preferred.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, along with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

High Plains Technology Center is looking for part-time adjunct instructors to teach short term adult education classes in the following areas:  Trades, Special Interest, Health, Computer, and Business. If you are interested in becoming a substitute instructor for our daytime career programs, please call Shannon Carrico at (580) 571-6127. No certification is required. Pay is on a daily rate.
