Congratulations to Pake Carlson — SkillsUSA Region 4 Advisor of the Year!
We’re incredibly proud to announce that our very own Pake Carlson, Construction Instructor at High Plains Technology Center, has been named the SkillsUSA Region 4 Advisor of the Year!
Pake brings more than just industry knowledge to the classroom — he brings heart, leadership, and a deep commitment to shaping students into skilled, confident, and community-minded professionals. From teaching hands-on construction techniques to developing strong character and soft skills through SkillsUSA, he’s helping build more than just careers — he’s building futures.
“Pake Carlson is the kind of educator every student deserves — one who not only teaches a trade but also inspires purpose, confidence, and leadership. His commitment to developing well-rounded young professionals is evident in everything he does, from the classroom to the competition floor. We are incredibly proud of Pake and the lasting impact he continues to make on our students, our school, and the future of the workforce.”
— Don Gaines, Assistant Superintendent, High Plains Technology Center
A former custom home builder and proud HPTC alumnus, Pake has spent 13 years giving back to our school and community. He serves as our CTSO coordinator, district advisor, and a role model for students across Northwest Oklahoma.
We're thankful for his passion, leadership, and the lasting influence he makes on every student who walks through his classroom doors.
